Welcome to the Life Sciences Career Event Website. On this site it is possible for everyone to gain access to more information and register to the event itself.

The Life Sciences Career Event (LSCE) is an event organized by and for students in the field of Life Sciences, with the aim of broadening their horizon with respect to career opportunities. The LSCE is a logical continuation of the successful LSCE 2011, LSCE 2010 and LSCE 2008, where over 200 life science students were informed and interested in an array of Life Science companies with different products and goals. Compared to the LSCE 2011, the LSCE 2012 has broadened its horizon.

The events goal is to illustrate different career opportunities to students. We aim to accomplish this by creating contact opportunities for students with different companies and research institutes, to give students an insight in the spectrum of job opportunities in- and outside of academia. Our programme will be designed as such, that students can attend talks of several companies, but also browse around an information market where companies will be promoting themselves. PhD-students and staff of Maastricht University are ofcourse also welcome to attend! Furthermore there will be a PhD forum, during which students can find out more about the up and downsides of becoming and being a PhD.

The Life Sciences Career Event 2012 will be held on March 21st, 2012 at Maastricht University, Universiteitssingel 40 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
